What is this podcast all about?
We here at Jumpdrive Radio will be releasing a podcast weekly to share our unique views on the topics we love, namely sci-fi and fantasy.
Since these genres come in almost every form of media and cross into other categories we will have plenty to rant and rave about! Our main focus will be on Sci-fi/Fantasy television, movies, comics, and video games viewed through a pop culture lens.
We may cover the following (but not limited) topics:
spaceships, zombies, robots, elves, vampires, interdimensional travel, mutants, dystopian societies, nanotech, steam powered goggles, psionics, dragons, astrobiology, laser based swords, and/or fairies.
Sci-fi is a big, inclusive field and we wanna talk about it all!

Here is a short introduction to the voices that you hear on the podcast:
Nick

Nick is a self professed nerd who loves all things science fiction, particularly Star Trek. He spends his days working in IT, but his nights preparing for an alien invasion, robot uprising, or zombie apocalypse.
Todd

Todd grew up reading old Robert A. Heinlein, Isaac Asimov, and Arthur C. Clarke classics which greatly influenced his expectations of what good science fiction should be. He holds Star Trek in high regards for its position as "true philisophical science fiction" and also adores classic sci-fi like the 1951 The Day the Earth Stood Still. Todd is also a singer/songwriter who decided to start making his own instruments such as the suitcase drum and cigar box guitar. He has performed with Lisa Bunny on washboard in the past few years allowing them to develop their unique stage show. Check them out at ToddtheFox.com
